The MET office or as I now suspect ......... Enid Blyton.
5 hours bring bounced around like a bouncy thing...... Sigh!

Well, you've obviously survived and no doubt it will get more extreme with every telling![]()
I do NOT exaggerate !
..........anyway there I was lashed to the the wheel with my mizzzen gone and no chance of a ginger biscuit or milky tea with a large sugar for hours, the moon appeared briefly form behind the wrack and was gone, leaving me with only the whistle of the wind in the rigging for company and a large albatross following behind.
Presumably you were stranded for a tide on the wreck of Richard Montgomery, and spent hours trying not to cough, move, smoke or panic![]()
So whos got two boats then.......Meeeeeeeeeeee
and to satisfy certain old curmugeons who shall remain nameless this picture is not wonky at all.
. . . . . the moon appeared briefly form behind the wrack and was gone . . . . .
Gosh you were lucky. I caught a brief glimpse of the moon this evening and it was a most beautiful sight low to the south west. A mere sliver of moon illuminated, the thinnest I have seen for some time.![]()
The old boat goes on Wednesday to her new home in Wales boyo

Hey Fred, are you going to be able to get that under Windsor and Cookham bridges?
The flybridge on those was really a docking bridge on not meant for continuous cruising.
erm....yes er no umm ?
It is very possible that excuse for a flybridge will be removed at some point. It is literally bolted on with a multitude of stainless hex bolts.
