so who has the fastest boat

Only managed it once though, with a super clean bum and a flat sea (and probably a following wind). Normally manage to just get to 30 knots, RogerRat knows that I usually go everywhere WOT.

Wont do that on the LPG though, max would be about 28, but since the fuel is much cheaper I dont really mind!

..........Sea Ray 260 with the small but affordable 5.0 efi. Surveyor clocked 32 knots which didn't sound bad to me. My Rinker 182 hits 35 mph, maybe 38 on good day.

As I understand it - and I'm happy to stand corrected here, 6 mph = 5 knots. Therefore, your Rinker hits 38 divided by 6 = 6.33 x 5 = 31.66 - approx 32 knots, so it seems to be just as quick ! ( I think.............. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif )

Er emmm, not sure I should post this but anyway being the big show off that I am and can't stop buying more toys........

Performance 11.07 2 X Yanmar 440hp on surface drives = 64.5 knts (was flat as a mill pond and bottom was polished like a mirror), don't half make your eyes water though!

Yes yes I know flash B--tard but you only live once, did'nt think I could afford another one but scraped it all together sold a few things and there we are......... if I keeled over tomorrow I'd die happy man, broke and no inheiritance left for Little Nautical but what a hoot! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Good, feel like I've only gained from the upgrade! apart form huge hole in bank balance, increased fuel costs, berthing at Rockley park....

Thanks for the Maths - never a strong point

Indeed, at least I am keeping in good books with Mrs Nautical as having the navigators race seat altered to fit little N so she is wedged in when we go ballistic, should see her face...3 1/2 years old and screaching........

F A S T E R.....D A D D Y, F A S T E R, don't know who's got more nerves her or me nothing seems to faze her on a boat.

Speed machine arrives sometime in April but can't wait so might go out to Lavanga and have a play in the new year.

Sounds as if little N has had her fear gland removed: I was in a Rinker 232 doing 40kts, and thought I was about to meet my maker at any second.

Well, that's not such a big show off, really.
Down here in Italy, "Ms.Performance" (can't remember her name at the moment) is seen as a builder making shiny toys for german people. Quite often red or yellow....
For those who are looking for real speedboats, there are builders offering 80+ kts bullets.......

Know where you're coming from and I probably shouldn't post this just yet either but can't help it lads so here goes (and I do own them all):

F43: 32 knots
Zodiac Rib: 45 knots
Yamaha Jet Ski: In excess of 55knots (then my bottle went!)

and then this little baby I've bought the lads for Christmas:

It is obviously a suprise gift so please if you see 'em keep quiet, but it's just being prepared with our logos etc and will be in the 2006 Honda 150 Class Honda Series, Race Number H20, Tom Plant Driver, James Plant Navigating, I'm told good for 55knots. We've also sponsored Paul Charman in the 225 so lookout for The QualityJob Team.

Will post more pictures after the 25th, with the lads driving and me s***ing myself!!

Well, 17 knots out of the Fjord, not that one then, just about 21 in the rib though, on water that was both straight and flat, but not telling you where 'cos the EA might grumble a bit:-) Still not fastest but in a 2.8m rib it feels quite hairy enough thank you.

Stunning Paul - I bet the lads will be thrilled. Can't wait for action pictures next season /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cheers,
Rick

Think we maybe talking the same lady.... Mrs Uschi Woebel....not content with relieving me off all my hard earned already this is what she is trying to sell me now.

Performance Marine 14.07 2 X 820hp Seatek Diesels on Arnesons.....definitely in the plus 80 knt territory!
