You should actually split this up into categories like sports boats, racing boats, cruisers 25-30ft 31-35ft etc.
Coz people like me will turn up with 46kts and burn most cruisers off. Then a mate of mine will pitch in with his Sea Ray 19BR, and burn me off at 55kts. Then another mate will turn up with his Formula 252....and so it goes on.
Cor, haven't seen a Midi for donkeys, nice boat as I recall, very futuristic. Got any piccies ?
Re-prop'd my Searay220 to a much coarser pitch now we can't ski - 48kn indicated (on a dark & stormy night..)
Not mine but seen 41.5 on a Targa 31, pee'd the lifeboat off a bit though when we went past. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Also 40+ on Princess V52 but at reputed 100 galls/hr it didn't last long.
My own boat 7.5 flat out from 48 horses so you still have it!!
Can we talk about cars...cos mine goes really fast!
Boat wise, could use some advice....buying a Sea Ray 260 with the small but affordable 5.0 efi. Surveyor clocked 32 knots which didn't sound bad to me. My Rinker 182 hits 35 mph, maybe 38 on good day.
Don't think I'll be troubling many of you on The Solent with either vessel, but its not all about speed (?)
Sounds pretty good, Jez. I've the 3055 with 2x205's and can only manage 40 max. And I bet they drink more than your single......... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
