So where exactly is the Mobo capital of the UK?

Re: Antibes v Naburn

hm, of course, it isn't a fair comparison, cos Naburn is in Yorkshire, but imagining that it wasn't for a moment then

1. In one of the chandleries in Antibes they have really interesting valves about two feet in diameter, and some decent welding gear.

AND

2. Antibes is an anagram of "Nab's shite" (nearly)

AND

3. Martyn Whitely has never beeen to antibes, probably. Or if he did i bet he camouflaged himself by wearing those socks again.

PS: are the chips in the Blacksmith's arms plentiful or a bit stingy? Be honest.

Naburn sewage plant: latest news

---Success at sewage works leads to more pump orders----

Yorkshire Water's Naburn Sewage Treatment works in York has undergone a substantial upgrade to improve effluent discharged into the River Ouse.

Main contractor M J Gleeson Group enlisted the expertise of Mono Pumps, to handle the sludge processing element of the works.

Due to the nature of the sludge, which is produced from the aeration process treatment of domestic sewage, movement of the sludge gave the potential for gas locking in the system pipework.

This, together with a high rag content in the sludge and a temperature of 35C made for difficult hydraulic suction conditions.

A duty/standby pair of pumps was required to circulate sludge from two digesters through heat exchangers and back into the digesters.

Hm, i am not sure that antibes can boast the same facilites at all, so it's a win for Naburn.

Normally,modesty would prevent me saying,but

since you asked.........................
Ps.We have far more nice soft mud to run into than anybody else and an assortment of interesting industrial buildings which if you screw your eyes up tightly almost disappear into the smog haze at times.
Ps.And whats more there recently has been a great reduction in the number of dead crack dealers found floating in the river.
