I was hoping to be able to hop home across the Channel for a short trip in May/June to load up on the essentials of marmalade, warm flat beer and bacon. Not looking likely at the moment so Belgium coast, a bit of Holland then a main trip to Normandy if it is open. Unusually I should be able to get three weeks off for the main summer cruise and we had ideas of reaching the Channel Islands for the first time in a while but sadly I don't think they will be letting visitors in anytime soon.

That’s also part of the plan. As is a few days in the Exeter Ship Canal for a hull fresh water wash, in addition to mooring up right outside a great pub, the Turf Locks and being a 30 minute bike ride from home. And a night at the River Exe Cafe. And hopefully a few nights at Lyme Regis.

Lots to do (y)
That sounds brilliant ! Loved the Turf Locks when I was at Uni. Or praps it was because it's the only pub where I've managed a 3-dart finish !!!!

Re Lyme Regis - do you still have the dogs ? We had heard that Lyme Regis has a total no-dog policy - which would be a pity of true as would love to visit - memories of childhood holidays.

Sadly both ours are now gone:cry: My first mooring was in Lyme Regis almost 35 years ago, I still love the place. Dogs are not allowed on the Sandy beaches there but you can land on one of the walls on the Cobb and walk them ashore that way. Iirc you can take them to the far end of Monmouth beach, the stoney, rocky beach on the left as you look ashore. There’s also a big park just up from the Cobb.
PS how is Asbo?
