Retirement beckons and with it the chance to go longer distances so my trusty Hardy Mariner is on the market and I have had an offer accepted on a Moody 36 centre cockpit - a very different beast. Just wanted to thank everyone here for some superb advice, practical help and at times very amusing reading. I shall be hovering around the scuttlebutt and PBO threads more often now but will drop in here to see what is going on.

Hopefully it is an allowable plug to ask people to have a click on the site in my signature.

Happy and safe motor boating to all

Stuart

Thanks Henry - you might well. We are planning to return to Haslar so should be hanging around E pontoon in the New Year. Still recall an excellent day out on your lovely boat doing extremely rapid calibration runs up and down Southampton Water
Cheers

I've just seen this thread. What a shock. The whole family have been in tears all night !

Ok, so not tears per se :)

It's been an emotional Month.

Good luck and hopefully we will bump into you fro time to time.

I your new employer ever needs a good looking front man for assignments in sunny places you know where I am :)

Henry :)

Hi Stuart,

Best of luck with your new boat. I am sure you will enjoy life in the slow lane, hope your Hardy finds a good home.... and when those flappy things eventually get on your nerves we may well see you back on here.. :)

Thanks James and thanks also for your unstintingly generous flow of information and advice

All the best
Stuart

Best wishes on retirement and good luck with the move back to sail. Like the website, presents the boat very well :)

If you have not already thought about it can I suggest you join the Moody Owners Association. There is a vast amount of technical information and advice available as well as the social side.

Thanks for the suggestion and already joined - what an excellent web resource - right down to the hand annotated yard drawings for all the cabinetwork installation
