Snurble grip-thribley

Come on, the real ones are all signed (initialled, actually) by the engineer who put it together. Who was IDNo ?

A lot of people are out there are completely unaware that their insurance could wriggle out of a claim if they are using a substandard SGT. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I thought that when you bought even one Snurble grip-thribley, you had to signup to use the full name, otherwise they refused to service it free every ten years ? Something to do with Trades Description Act ? And you wouldn't want to confuse it with these people, or these would you ?

I am afraid to say that I have lost mine, I do have a photo of it which I will post here so that if any one finds it they can return it as it is sorely missed. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

PS Its quite unusual as its the left hand model with the solid brass tippender.

Ah,that would be the contra-rotating vortex model, afaik only available to subscribers in the southern hemisphere...Sir Snurble himself hailed from somewhere down under ?

Heresy! He worked from the third railway arch under the main line from Birmingham New Street just off the Stratford Road in Digbeth!

He was also the originator of the 'Birmingham Screwdriver' (see below!)

I must also confess that I have lost my German Spermatorrhoea Ring (screw catch).

Just in case you have not come across one before here is a picture and a short description.

An extremely rare Spermatorrhoea ring fastened with a screw. Spermatorrhoea means involuntary loss of semen, although the rings were also intended to prevent voluntary discharges from masturbation or Onanism (Originating from Onan who originally "spilt his seed on the ground" Genesis 38:7-9). The ring is placed at the base of the penis and fasted with a screw such that any engorgement of the organ will meet with the teeth of the ring and arrest the process.

If any one finds it please DO NOT return it to my wife but hide it in a very very dark place, I beg you.
Yours pleadingly.
Wendel

Ah.
I think I may have one of the later, 32lb models fitted with an extra long ash handle.

Absolutely indespensible, it is colloquially known as the "micro adjuster'' in these parts

Ive got one of the new digital jobs.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

There a bit crap really, if you get any issues with it you have to basically toss it in the bin and order a new one..... The original analogue gear was far better, with proper servicing they last forever, even the galvanised ones beat the new Raymarine gear.

But I suppose with the new EU rules on Thribling, we are all just gonna have to put up with it..... I mean really though, I never had any kidney function issues with the old one. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Does anyone need the Power-Conversion? I've got a 1970's vintage one from a Heuristic, made by Specious, in very good condition, with factory-fitted Ideation-Control. The case is a lovely one- done in fine Sophistry with some very useful prestidigitators in their original packaging. Only the Stultiloquators have had any serious use, but I'm sure if you ask around here someone might have a source.
Oh- and don't PM me looking for my Snurble. I'm very sentimental about mine- it was the one my Grandfather used after he escaped from a POW camp in Italy in 1944, and the same one my dad used for his Board of Trade test in about '66!

Ha, modern metal and plastic crap, just does not last!
A good acceptable SGT should be 2" oak, clenched on nonsustainable teak with 3" hand forged copper nails. The Knurling wand handle should be hand paid with oakum hand spun thread, soaked for 3 years in Riga balsam and Stockholm tar.
If it was good enough for Nelson, why change it?

If that AWFUL 70's ( thats 1870's) electric conversion is attempted, it will only be successful if done by a three badge Torpedo Gunners Mate, using Mr Edisons Patent Dockyard Adjuster, IMHO. Not that I, of all people am anti-progress......
