Snow & no power

Well I left mine in last winter with no heater and it was fine.

I know we are not in Eastbourne but this is interesting Sea temperatures

Kioni - the same amount of snow is still there today although not on the mud banks. More due tomorrow so I reckon it will be Monday before anything but main roads are clear. We live on a steep hill and my car has been parked round the corner since Friday evening as there is no way I can get it home without a lot of effort.
 
Fabulous sunny but cold day here in the west country few clouds around little wind.

Hope you lot are all ok watch it on the roads. Have you got your power back? Off to a band practice this afternoon in preparation for my half-century blow-out but the village hall is only 100 yards away so wish me luck
 
The snow is still on the marshes but has obviously gone from the mud banks

Here in Lowestoft there is at least 8" of snow. I am running our generator to post this as we have had no electric for the past 2 days. Water is running low as the pipes have frozen.

We cannot get off the pontoons as there is so much ice and we have missed the best of the last of the christmas shopping.
The drinks cabinet is losing it's stock very quickly and it looks as if we are in for another big freeze tonight, at least I wont have to make any ice for the Gin.

I have been reliably informed that we can expect things to improve by August but we must be prepared for flooding due to snow melt from the mountains beyond Beccles.

I really do hope we can come out of this, hav'nt been able to feed the rabbits for 24hours, and the ferret is chomping at the bit. I'm going outside now, I may be gone for sometime.

How are they getting on in Copenhagen?
 
Some of us had to work the weekend and when it reached -7.7 centigrade all I wanted was a nice warm bed :( night shift was fun watching it all coming in but bugger me my hands were frozen most of the time, and not through throwing snowballs either :D

Freezing fog this morning after a short overnight thaw has been followed by another dive in temperature to -1
Quite warm now really :eek:
Defrosting slowly here, expect to be in full running order in a day or two :D
