sniff sniff......

Saturday was a productive day......

Fitted Inverter to aft cabin and reinstalled all the furniture.
Got all the headlining panels down in the saloon, 60 odd screws!
Wired up the Solar/Wind Regulator and install the run to the solar panel.
Fitted repaired exhaust elbow, changed the oil & filter and the geearbox oil.
Fitted baskets to fridge, and galley cupboards
Made the slider frame for the new waste bin,
Changed the battery post fitting on the start battery
Replaced the chart light cover to red
Measured up and ordered new wind gen mounting poles
Measured up and ordered the work surface for over the cooker

Got a bit too enthusiastic on the red wine Saturday night, and looked at the weather on Sunday, decided to give it a miss.

So, not too bad.

Oh dear - you are all good, all I've done is fit new ¾" ball valve on loo inlet; fit new skin fitting and 1½" ball valve on loo outlet(took two trips as a certain East Coast Chandlery gave me a good price but when collected they were 1¼"........) Started on framework for cockpit cover and will go down tomorrow or wednesday to measure up and then a couple of days to sew it up.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're still in.... might come out next month for a week for a botty clean and new androids, or whetever they're called... and then its BBQ season... :)

Be interested to hear how the UNO performed, i am going to be applying it this year in about 3 weeks time so if it was cr.. please lie to me!

i found blakes tiger extra about as good as emulsion paint had fouling within 3 / 4 weeks.
going with Jotun thia year

I've always found Tiger Xtra pretty good and I'm going back to it this after a year with Flag rubbish that washed off completely nad was no where to be seen when I came out at Shotley in August. Bought some Tiger yesterday at Dauntless £58 rather than the £85 that is the RRP printed on the label.

5 lts Seaqueen

"Nautical" by International - first time use. Going to slap it on next weekend then she's in the water in time for Easter hols. It's all feeling very 'new season'.

Tee hee! Just about all the underwater jobs done. Just the patches to paint and the prop to polish and grease. Topsides to clean and wax, then she's already to get splashed.

Loads of other things to do before we bugger off, least of which is tart the flat up for rental.

Just thinking I can make a start on must-do jobs - that is: when I can leave swmbo - and I fall and crack a rib - incapacitated.

I was going to say at least it's in the water - no toiling down vertical ladders going to the mooring and then putting the mast up, and then I read the forecast for Sunday and from the EAST! At least the cracked rib allows me to cross my fingers!

Didn't cross my fingers long enough.

Last night 8m tide and a strong EAST wind, forward mooring chain parted - all the mooring apparently in v. .good order - found the forward mooring chain(v. good condition)was made up of two sections joined by a shackle, which was badly worn, this end of the chain was in deep mud, and almost impossible to lift. Now back on mooring but with a fair amount of damage as the boat was blown into a railway bridge crossing part of the harbour, probably will have to lift out - instead of lift in - to repair - bang goes the sailing. The rib certainly has had a testing time - grateful for help from fellow club members and a Range Boat..

Not good. Hope the damage isnt too bad.

Shotley did a fine job of lifting, scrubbing and anode replacing today. There was only fine slime and very limted barnacles so was very pleased as coppercoat age unknown and been in over a year. I micro-scrubbed the kiwi and between us we sorted all the grease points and squirted liberally accordingly. It works just fine now. New batteries went in last night leaving only the fuel flush job left to clear the essentials and make Mr.T sailable once more. Lovely weather too today. Cant wait.
