Good afternoon,

Yesterday I went out on Puffin. My CI 22 with twin Volvo Penta MD22 engines when the port engine was blowing white smoke that was more than usual at revs above 2500rpm

A bit of history:
She has always been a little Smokey and not of any real concern after having several engineers look at her whilst servicing.

Last year I was advised to have the injectors rebuilt which I immediately had done.

I dived her to ensure that there was nothing blocking the incoming water supply which there wasn’t. The running gear did have growth on which I cleaned off. After the clean the smoke appeared a bit worse.

Can any of you wise men and women assist in resolving my issue.

TIA

Water injection elbow, only need to remove the small bolt on part to check, not the whole exhaust elbow.
Injector pump timing?
Cambelt last change?
Engine running at full temperature?

Partsforengines are decent prices for spares.

Keep us updated as my port one is doing much the same, and it is on my list to sort this year.
My starboard one has had new inj pump and rebuilt injectors, so it runs lovely.
