Smallest liferaft (cannister)?

Look at the Zodiac range. My liferaft is coachroof-mounted, in front of the windscreen, and when I had to replace it a couple of years ago, the Zodiac was the lowest-profile one I could find. Only about 23cm high.

Thanks for the advices folks.

The two front runners both at 69x49x23 are:
Avon £1,500
Zodiac £1,200

Seago £600 measures 72x48x34, so a third again as high, also presumably a lower spec to match.

My interest in this question BTW arises out of the fact that I'm planning on building a small plywood pram tender to keep capsized on the coachroof. The pram will be a snug and relatively unobtrusive fit between the mast and the inner forestay (the stays'l foot will clear it easily once through the tack), but the existing liferaft position forward of and almost tight up against the mast-base ruins my cunning calculations. The LR is an older-generation Viking which is still good (Viking say it needs a yearly check at £300 plus(!) which I cannot afford, so I've been doing it every 3 years). My cheapest option is to have it repacked in a valise when the next service is due and stow it below, but there isn't a lot of room for a thumping heavy old bag below decks in a 27-footer!

Look at the February's Yachting Monthly (just delivered) Ocean Safety £1,214
at 8.4 kg sounds very light and knowing that Ocean Safety make good products, does worth a look.

I don't get YM, but I can't believe there's a liferaft weighing only 8.4kg, and there's no mention of it on the Ocean Safety website.

That's got to be a typo.

By the way, Viking are pretty much the Rolls Royce of liferafts. I'd hang on to it if I had one. I do understand you have space issues though.

liferaft

Look at Autoflug from Germany unfortunately know owned by Zodiac,
they make the smallest cannister and a very good raft.
but smallest raft means biggest money.

I don't think Autoflug still make leisure liferafts. I replaced my old Autoflug liferaft in 2010 with a Zodiac because it had a low profile container.
