I'm after 4 tiny japanned screws. 8mm long x 1.5mm dia. Countersunk with slightly domed head and posidrive/Phillips . I've drawn a blank so far. Any ideas?

Are you after woodscrews ?
If so 1.5mm is a size 0

Id expect the length to be measured in fractios of an inch from the outer edge of the head to to point 8mm = 5/16", but If you are measuring 8mm overall then its probably 1/4" that you need but if you are measuring just the thread and the shank then you probably need 3/8"
The heads you describe are usually called raised head

Cannot say I've seen japanned screws other than slotted round head

Slotted head would be ok. I'll try searching size 0.
It's not really boat related - they are to fix a preamp to my guitar. I removed it to fix the soldering and thenscrews got lost.

If you've got an old VHS cassette, they're held together with small black self-tappers
