Hi all
while I was at The METS show in Holland I visited a stand which sell a unit that bolts on to the outdrive or outboard motor, its two small rudder units which when bolted to each side of the outdrive act as rudders, they are spring loaded and rise when at speed. once you drop to a low speed (you choose by adjusting the spring) they drop to each side of the props, giving better manoeuvrability. the vidio they show gave good results even when not in gear the boat could be directed. they come in three sizes, depending on boat size. I bought two sets and plan to put them on my boat next season. Hey a guy needs all the help he can get.

Extra bonus is they will protect the props as well. Have anyone seen them or know anyone who have used them? and how did or do they find them. I will let you know how they do.

I had one bolted to my Bayliner, and guess what...

They work!

Bought mine from the Compass catalogue a couple years ago. Just make sure they are bolted on well, a mate of mine lost his in the first week of fitting, all that was left was the securing brackets.

Made a hell of a difference to slow speed handling.
Good luck.
