These 3 words are the nub of an Australian awareness campaign to stop people from getting skin cancer from sunlight (UV). Slip and shirt on, slop a load of suncream on and slap a hat on your head.
Sound advice that I have ignored for 47 years - until yesterday, when I was discharged from hospital after having a sizeable malignant melanoma removed from my back and a skin graft taken from my right leg.
So - chaps... learn from my mistakes (I have made enough of them) and cover up a bit, 'cos the sunlight is doubled as it reflects from the water. I'm not expecting a sympathy vote because I don't desrve one - its just a piece of advice from a friend, that's all.
