My dear old East Anglian has got terminal rot in her mast so I am now renovating and old alloy mast that has the mainsail mast track on the outside. This is called an exterior slide and track system. But do you think I can find any of the slides?? Can I heck. Bainbridge International distribute them but do not sell them to folk like me. The slides are made of S/S and fit on the outside of the track. I need to get hold of a trial slide to see if it will slide along my 1" track. The track is rather like a section through an upside down top-hat - if that makes sense? Does anyone know where I can get one of these. If they work I will need about 20 - 30.
Looking forward to your reply,

Classic Marine have them on page 9 of their catalogue, which can be downloaded from here

ps Just had another look and the largest they have is 3/4", so they won't do for you. Might be worth giving them a ring to see if they can get what you want. I have only dealt with CM a couple of times but they were very helpful

Thanks everyone. Some ideas for me. I can get them from bainbridge distributor but they only sell them to chandlers at 100 a time so chandlery not interested. Perhaps I can persuade Bainbridge to do a one off deal with me??
Thanks again

Why not try a sailmaker? They are much more likely to use them on a regular basis and have one to try.
