sleeping with my wife - terrible dilemma

Sorry. I have a snoring problem to add to the mix.
I say it's her and she says it's me.

Here's an idea. Get your gunter rigged boat. Remove compression post and get an arch made to replace it. There won't be huge compression from a gunter rig. All it's doing is holding the mast vaguely straight. There's that much twist off above the gaff jaws that there is no point in having a rigid mast and the is absolutely no point (or way) of inducing mast bend.
A nice decorative arch in aluminium (2 plates bonded with blocks between) will create a lovely harem feel to the cabin.

Good plan, keep your wife warm, you will have a nice boat and she can have somewhere to warm her feet :)

Made my night, thanks.

amazing bloke

The first time I'd heard of Phil Bolger was when I saw the Micro on Dylan Winter's site. Something about it struck me.

As a result of that I found the great man on FurledSails:

Sorry for my post #31 Dylan, should have realised you were aware, I'll try and keep up.

Phil Bolger's books and writing are as excellent as his designs.

The chap tacking spartina should be an example to the thread on scuttlebut about the right commands for tacking
