It was an excellent day yesterday in the Irish Sea. So good that I decided to skive off work and come and have another go. Not a cloud in the sky and no other boats anywhere. The wind has gone off for lunch somewhere though after F4-5 all morning it's now F2 so a chance for some Scuttling.

Did the gales forecast for the SW over the weekend appear?

From somewhere between Abersoch and Harlech

irish sea .. oh well here's probably ancient irish joke ...

Paddy’s on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. He’s got £500,000.
Chris asks him the big question for 1 million.

“PADDY, FOR £1MILLION, WHO WAS THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBER... WAS IT

...A, RONNIE BARKER.,

...B, RONNIE O’SULLIVAN,

...C, RONNIE CORBETT...OR... WAS IT

...D, RONNIE BIGGS???”

Paddy say’s...”O’il take de money!”
Chris reminds him that he still has his 3 life lines left.
Paddy again say’s..”O’il take de money!”

YOU DON’T WANT TO CALL A FRIEND” say’s Chris.

“No O’il take de money”

“GIVE HIM A ROUND OF APPLAUSE, PADDY GOES AWAY WITH £500,000.” say’s
Chris.

“BEFORE YOU GO, YOU’LL OBVIOUSLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE ANSWER WAS”

Paddy said “No, Oi know it annyway Chris”

“ARE YOU MAD?” asks Chris, “ARE YOU MENTAL”?

Paddy says, “Oi might be mental, but Oi’m not a grass!”

There were several gusts of around 40 knots anywhere between SE and NNE recorded on the UK Windmap during the day at places like Culdrose, Portland RNAS, Roborough Airport at Plymouth, etc

Re: Skiving@berth

The good weather has now gone. At 2pm the wind came back from it's lunch break with avengance. At 3 the sun went in and it's now back to normal Welsh winter weather.

Still it's been the best 2 December days for a long time - clear, sunny, frosty and breezy.

I need to prepare my 'dull day at work' story now for when I get back.
