Hello there,

I have just seen your post and am interested in the job. Can you give me some more information. What size is the boat, Range, condition. where from, where to, when.

I am a delivery skipper with 6 years experience in all types of boats and distance is no object. I charge £95.00 per day plus expenses or I can give you a fixed price depending on the above questions.

I have crew available but I note that the owner will be taking part in the trip, to that end I can offer tuition on route if you require it.

Please get in touch if you are interested.

Regards

Ken

Hello There,

I have seen your last post and have replied as I am interested, it seems that I cannot post replys.

The going rate for delivery skippers is between £100 and £150 per day, dependingon who you get. There are people out there who will do it for less, but you get what you pay for.

Hope this helps

somwhat surprized

Hello James,

Crew and I arrived back from your boat in Troon Late Friday night, and I am somwhat surprized to see you are in negotiations with another delivery skipper to bring your boat to Ipswich. I thought I had been contracted to do this job and that is why I agreed to waiver one days fee and accept your suggestion that settlement of the account should be delayed untill the job is done. I find it strange that you did not take up our offer of us staying on waiting for a window,at a reduced fee. I see that window is just about to arrive.

Good luck with your new skipper, I know this man and you will need all the luck you can get.
see you in court, if I dont get my money, both expenses and day rate as agreed, all of it, by this Friday.

Kind Regards
Paul

Oh no ... not Bridgid Mary again!

Check out his posts and his history. It's an endless stream of nonsense, complaints and wrangles. Whoever this guy is, he's the scourge of this forum. Avoid.

Dear Sir

Firstly as the owner of my boat may I remind you I have the right to employ whom I choose. There was no contract between us, you were simply asked to pilot my boat for an agreed fee. Sadly you were unable to complete this.

Your "crew" (wife), informed me that you were unable to complete this task due to other work commitments. You are booked up until the New Year she informed me. I'm surprised you are writing to me now suggesting that you were to finish the job as you also informed me that you were very busy in the coming weeks ahead.

I find your post on here intimidating and threatening. Your invoice to me (which was written within minutes of knowing that you were returning home) showed no knowledge of business practice.

My partner and I made you very welcome on our boat and made your time with us comfortable. You took time to explore Scotland while you were there - taking advantage of the poor weather conditions.

I'm sure the moderators on this site would not like their members sending threatening mail.

I do not wish to enter into any more communication with you regarding this matter.

James and Tracy
