Looking at the exit/exuast/outlet, whatever you want to call it, for the bog on the boat I notice that is going furry. The kind of furry you get on the negative terminal on a car battery. It looks as if the fitting is bonded to the anode on the boat. I didn't think that it would have to be. There is no inboard engine, it has an outboard on a drop down bracket.
Can I safely cut the bonding wire and clean up the fitting. It looks to be a Blakes fitting made from either bronze or brass. The inlet fitting doesn't look to be bonded at all. Its fine. I'm down at the boat at the weekend and will be taking them out anyway to reseal them.
Thoughts on it?
