Hi All

I have an 8 litre accumulator on my pressurised water system which leaks. I have two tap outlets and a shower connected, Due to space restrictions I would prefer to fit a smaller size accumulator. Will this have any adverse effects on the system?

Thanks in advance

Jim

Most systems work well with accumulators of a couple of litres.
This has the advantage of not taking so long to pump up when you first turn on the pump. Modern multi-diaphragm pumps give a reasonbly smooth output anyway.

Only that the pump will run more often but for shorter times.

There are pumps available that are pressure sensitive and no accumulator is needed, mind you pump runs whenever a tap is turned on.
