As my Wallas is currently blowing cold air, and may not be repairable, I've been having a think about solid fuel instead. I don't think I can afford any other sort of replacement heater just now and, besides, I have fitted woodburners to my last two houses and I rather like them.
I'm considering putting a stove on the forecabin side of the main bulkhead, right down at floor level. I realise this may be something of a compromise, but if I put it on the other side of the bulkhead (in the saloon) it would be up at bunk height, and would be right in the way.
As to the stove itself, well ideally I would like a Davey Hotpot but I'm looking at similar stoves at a quarter of the price on eBay.
Thoughts?
