She has 2 sinks, and have never used the other one. So remove. The drain is glued pvc and has an S bend. Is that needed or can I go straight line out? Occasionally water backs up to the sink plughole and I chuck a couple of buckets of saltwater in it and then it drains.

Ours drops straight to through hole below, never though a boat would need a trap for the drain as this would not stop water coming up anyway

An S-bend (trap) is not needed on a boat and will probably drain better without it.
