Single hander been missing for 3 weeks off Devon/Cornish S Coast

Single hander Guy Nelson was last seen in Plymouth Sound on Sept 8th, and has not been seen or heard from since. He was in his Trident 24 'Swallow' (name clearly marked on dodgers), and both CG and Police are increasingly concerned as to his whereabouts. There has been some pretty bad weather since, and concern for him is growing.

If anyone has seen anything of him or his boat, please contact the Police or Coastguard

8n spite of "quite extensive searches' there is still no sign of missing single hander Doug Nelson in the Channel. Doug left Fareham in April in his Trident 24 Swallow and had been cruising all summer He was last seen on Sept 8th leaving Plymouth.

So far as we know he was heading east.

Sadly, that seems entirely possible, except that no debris pointing to it has been found. It doesnt help that the only info is that he was 'heading east' when he left Plymouth. That sounds vague, but how many times have I done something like that as a single hander, myself?
