Does anybody / company provide yachts for single handed charter in the UK ?

Would they allow a novice with RYA Day Skipper training and 800 miles experience ?

How much would it cost ?

Take someone with you and drop them off at the first port . . . just don't get into any insurance situations.

No....

The MCA Code of Practice states that any charter vessel must be adequately manned.

This includes providing adequate cover in the event that any crewmember becomes incapacitated.

The insurance is also dependent upon this.

Using the old mirror trick, would you lend a yacht worth say a minimum of £50k to a novice dayskipper with only 800 miles under his / her belt and no crew to back them up.

The yacht by the way is not especially set up or single-handed sailing.

Sorry, I wouldn't lend you mine, I've seen the antics a charter yacht FULL of novices can get up to.
