SIMRAD TP32 tripping out

Thank you for your reply. It seem that we approached the issue similar :-). I've a Silva Nexus NX Server as the NMEA0183 Server. So it appears that the source of the NMEA signals is not the issue. Keep me informed via this forum, I'm curious.
 
I don't have a vast experience in marine electronic systems, but I think it should have some kind of limit switch instead of letting it to trip out. I wouldn't want it to trip out in auto mode while it's unsupervised. If the waypoints of the cruise are not in a straight line, I imagine there might be situations, when the tiller pilot reaches one of the end positions in auto mode. If the waypoints are more or less in a straight line, I agree, probably the push rod of the TP would not reach the end points.

Just to correct something there ... no Autopilot changes course without User accepting first ... just because it can be corrected to a plotter and plotter can make autopilot correct course error ... it does not mean at waypoint it will instruct to change course. It will ask you to accept new instruction - then it will tell autopilot to alter.
