Has anyone got the specification or perhaps a photo) of the Microphone Socket on a Simrad RD68 VHF?

I'm planning a modification to add a remote mic, and I may want to use the existing socket.

You mean the attached? If it's accurate it would be OK, but I assumed it was stylized.

I believe it is accurate. I can look at my Simrad RD68 when I am next at the boat, probably 8 Jan to check, if that's any help, I could even try a photo.

I could really use a cockpit mike extension for my nav mounted RD68 but I have not been able to find a command mike extension, what are you planning?

I'm just considering options at the moment, so I may decide on an external switch box that plugs into the mic socket, the other option being a modification to bring another socket out of the rear.

The remote mic would be a simple device with just a PTT, plus an additional switch to turn on the remote speakers. No plans for display or channel buttons, not really needed in my case.
