SIM for occasional use on tablet

I need a SIM to use occasionally on an iPad that is 99% of the time working on WiFi.
I don't want a contract, and I don't want a PAYG SIM where unused credit evaporates after a month.
There was a long thread about this early last year as a result of which I got a T-Mobile SIM which was intended for use on an iPhone with heavy phone use and light 'reasonable' web access. This lasted me for a year but on its anniversary it decided that was that.
Does anyone know of any current deals that would provide what I need?

I was on the same plan - it expired a week or so ago and I received a text message - send 6MONTHWEB to 441 and for £20 I can have 'unlimited' Internet.

Have just topped up, sent the text and have interweb again. 20 quid for 6 months is fine until I find a better deal.

I did the same, and was probably responsible for you all having these SIMs as I started the thread last year top up £20 and you get 6 months free web and your £20 remains as credit. Never even had a warning and use it every day for mail and web so seems a very good deal. This is available on any tmobile payg sim not just the iPhone ones.
