Can these switches be repaired?. The switch on the Flybridge will no longer "switch on" ........it's the type were you simultaneously depress 2 buttons. Bow thruster still operates using the lower helm switch or the remote control so I am confident that it is the fly switch. To replace with new is likely to cost around £180!!!

I have changed loads of them, they are not very reliable. For one customer aft his twin panel was replaced for the 4th time he requested that the joysticks were wired direct and the electronic board was removed, 2 seasons on and no further problems. Its a shame as the thrusters are good. Used to have a lot of problems with the auto main switches as well.

Well this is £50 cheaper!

It has a basic switch in it and the rather annoying buttons that trigger the timer.

I would suspect that if you took it to bits if the electronics are dead you could bypass the on off function very easily and the switch will probably be fine.

Yes.....had seen the one on e-bay........but build in cost of P&P and potential customs charges it is'nt going to be much cheaper than one here.........not really comfortable dealing with e-bay USA. Thanks for the reply though.

I might have one on Eos that's not being used. Can you take a pic and post it here and I'll check to see if it's the same.

I've done the same, by-passed the on buttons. Been working like that for about 5 years

I actually specced the push button option when I purchased my bowthruster.
The 8950G is just a touch panel. No joystick.
works fine.. well for 3 years..And was cheaper..
Probably fail on me now:rolleyes:

Maybe get some advice from Bryn Thomas at Sidepower UK
They have a unit just outside Plymouth.
He will probably suggest that you go to someone like Osmotech but I have had lots of support from him.
He is a motorboater in his spare time as well so knows the problems well.
