Rocker stoppers
Oh they've been quite interesting, in a slightly non-quantifiable kind of way.
They are certainly no substitute for the £50k+ static stab solutions, but then at well 0.5% or so of the cost you'd expect that - and I think they do more than 0.5% effect, so you could argue value for money - especially as no generator required to deploy
Still playing - it seems they act not so much as roll preventers, more like shock absorbers where they damp down the oscillations a bit and prevent the boat from rolling beyond the point where it has impetus to do so (for example after a wash hits).
Undoubtedly we'd do better if we could deploy them off some ironmongery - of which more experimentation might follow.
We'll play a bit more and then include something about them in our next Our Boats piece for MBY.
How did the flopper stoppers fare or are they still a work in progress? You could always start a cycling proficiency course or a football training camp if they don't stop the boat rolling
