We are visiting the show on Thursday looking for Cozzy III

After being boatless these past few months following the sale of the S38 preferably a 40-45ft Fly/HT with two cabins and upper saloon.

Obvious new contenders are Sealine F450, Princess 43, Fairline Squadron 42, Jeanneau 420.

Recommendations invited ;)

I'm obviously a Prestige fan Cozzy, bought the boat because it suited our needs and we remain extremely happy.

The tangibles at the show will be obvious but fwiw the service and support I've had from Ancasta has been way beyond my expectations. Back-up from prestige has been superb, they have not quibbled about any of my concerns, (all relating to third party components), and it would be a tough choice for me to change brands/dealer in a couple of years when we make our next step.

I had a 390 on cummins and now have volvo with pods. Much prefer the volvo as I have found the EDC to be far less fussy than the smartcraft equivalent. Had a few issues with the cummins, mainly sensors and electrics and so far after 150 hours this season the volvos have been faultless. I'm sure that they are not comparable so thats just my two pence worth.

I really do think that the prestige 450 is a great boat based on your statement of requirements but I bet the P43 will blow the others away in terms of the finish, was very impressed with it at last years SiIBS.

Have a great show and if I see a 'sold' sign on any of the 45 footers when I'm up on Friday I'll know what happened ;)

Thank you NP

We are looking at Prestige 420 so might as well look at big sister too while we are there. It does look good online and also gives us the choice of fly or HT. Definite contender ;)

Ha. I didn't spot the "STY" in your suggestion :-/
I looked at "Absolute 45" on Google and found a lovely sports cruiser for the med :)

Our Absolute is really well put together, but wasn't t impressed with after sales, probably due to pulling out of UK. Don't know if quality is still good, but if your looking at hard top with patio it seems pretty good at 1st look, long as you can get over the above points.

What's your budget ? You need a criteria on the drive , shaft , I p s , or stern drive , agree on that then move forward.

I don't know Paul.
The criteria is as per my post. Our budget depends on whether we opt for new or used. If used then 200k, if new then we might take out a mortgage for the right boat. Our pervious boats were purchased new.
I've helmed drives for 12 years however, the used boats we are looking at are shafts. Either way I'm not bothered as I'm well aware pros and cons.
I can't say the same about pods though and this set up will require informed advise.

The Azimut Mugello 43 looks really smart.

Have to agree Jez, this boat impressed me the most this year. Internal space, cabins and fly all excellent, I thought it was around 50 feet until I asked.

Had some real Nordhaven feel too but without the bathtub look. THe radar mast was very 'ship' like too. Real sea goer, speak to Frederick on the stand and ask him about, pods, ips, legs etc.

Great finish!

Thanks for that WL

Another "interesting" boat but like the Cranchi the looks (on paper) are an acquired taste. Three cabins are a waste on us however I see the third cabin is tiny so maybe useful storage.

We might take a peek if we have time ;)
