Then the only solution is replacement?Thought it would be that.
Your 2 way valve, its a problem I have found with all these plastic valves, manual or electric. I think the plastic adsorbs chemicals and swells.

If you cannot free it off, I would expect to have to replace it. Can you buy the valve without the electrics if that part of it is still working? Then the only solution is replacement?
No electrics, just manual. You can buy a kit (no idea of price) but replacing the valve complete is £80! I would not want to buy a kit and then find it makes no difference due to plastic swelling.. The inners can be removed while the valve is still in place. See pdf above. If you cannot free it off, I would expect to have to replace it. I found that usually the valve itself seizes up.
Sorry, thought this was an electric one. Pull it apart and see what is wrong with it, its only muck, good gloves render it more pleasant. No electrics, just manual. The valve is 10 years old. May have to bite the bullet.
I've just fitted one today. Exactly the same..it creates a spirt upwards from the drain on each cycle of the pump. I. not impressed with it.Whale gulper 220 is slowly pumping out but spitting a lot back at some force. What might be the cause? Pump valves? Blockage in pipe before pump?
It is the in most hateful location to work on.
That is a faulty pump. Mine worked perfectly for several years, throwing water out the hull fitting for at least a metre with no spit back.I've just fitted one today. Exactly the same..it creates a spirt upwards from the drain on each cycle of the pump. I. not impressed with it.
