Couldn't resist quoting yesterday's Portishead marina newsletter (sorry Damo!):

"Please accept our apologies for the lack of women’s showers in the boatyard facilities building. Unfortunately, the showers were stolen at the beginning of the week. Replacement units will be fitted as soon as possible and we will be reviewing the access arrangements. The wash down area in the boatyard is available and the Berthing Masters have offered their assistance……. or alternative shower facilities can be found in the Marina Control Building."

I should point out that my confidence in the marina is undiminished (among the best I've come across) - but it did make me laugh!

Seriously though, can you believe the nerve of someone wandering in and taking 3 power showers out of the stalls? We didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

The yard is getting busy- There seem to be more berthing masters assisting now!

You need to fit CCTV in the showers linked to a monitor in the Control room so the Berthing masters can watch purely for security purposes of course /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Better idea.

Use the wi-fi network so that for security reasons it can be viewed anywhere in the marina.

Then everyone could keep a close eye on any unusual happenings /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
