Should YBW pay posters to this site?

As some posters think YBW actually profit from hosting these fora should they not return some of the revenue to the originators of the intellectual property?

Keep up at the back, I already suggested this on the other thread ;-) and I want all the credit for the idea if IPC take it up!

I'm up for that!

We could then create a instant market for our writing... We would immediatly start generating money from our thoughts.... and of course this is completely democratic... so that would encourage more people to write... and as the number of competing contributors increased.... IPC could cut the rates they pay as the supply side takes off...

Eventually all the posts would be written by children living in Bangladash for 2p a day, or those willing to live like children from Bangladash making 2p a day....

Of course it would all be ****... but heh! its free init!

Having read the thread re: quality of journalism in YM and people's disinclination to actually buy the mag, why would anybody, especially the hard pressed publishers want to pay for [some] of the drivel written here. Can you imagine how many posts some people would write if they thought they would be paid? Half a million posts at a penny each could get you a Solent marina berth!

agree - this place would become completely unmanageable

plus the competitive and greedy sorts would stop looking at other peoples posts otherwise they might be earning 10p a hundred replies

a forum where posters got paid - what a horrible thought
