Don't like the look of it, and (in Firefox) the weather panel is significantly obscured by the map.

Do like the webcam image being larger, so we can keep an eye on Photodog, oops, I mean so distant friends/relatives can better watch us approaching the lock. (Thank goodness it doesn't actually show inside the lock!;))

The photo gallery used to be more extensive, with views across the river, the grounds, the Shipwreck and boats in the workshop.

Addition of local walks is a nice idea. (I think it's an addition - haven't noticed it before.)

It seems a little slow to load so maybe they need to streamline the underlying code, but I wouldn't say it's bad. At least they update the site more than occasionally, unlike their sister marina at Burnham where we get about half a dozen updates a year.

Once, just ONCE, I put the boat sideways in the lock.. And do I ever hear the end of it????.

Not likely.

Buy a bigger boat..... can't go in sideways.

Did you hear about some foreign bloke who out his boat in sideways? No shame or embarrassment, he didn't even move his boat to Levington!

I like the minimalist design ethic but whiite text on a white background with a white border is maybe taking it too far!

(OK, OK, all I get is a blank page. Nothing, nada, nowt)

First time I visited Shotley (quite some years ago now) I was in a friend's cat. He had called before we made the trip up the coast to book and enquire whether we could be accommodated.

The closer we got to the lock the more we doubted the boat 's beam would fit in, so we radioed to check. They insisted that it would fit in, and so it did - but only by lifting the fenders as these made it too wide! (The plastic floats either side were fortunate in the circumstances.)

We had a very enjoyable visit, and the staff were as friendly and helpful then as they are now.

I have had a further look, can't find the webcams? The weather site is useless as the wind is always 0 knots from the North.

Correction I have found the webcam, under Services.
