Seems that quite a few of us have issues with it. I think they use a cheapo web designer to do it, and it shows. Any new website needs to be carefully checked before going live, including testing in different browsers. And photo files need to be compressed to speed up loading.

Shotley's blog today includes the comment "Discussions with our website developer have high lighted issues where old search engines such as Safari etc are being used. These are more vulnerable to hackers and identity fraud than more modern and up to date search engines such as Google Chrome." I wonder what Apple would have to say about that?

When it comes to designing websites some spotty Herbert who hasn't started shaving yet is often your best bet.
It's the old codgers with 'years of experience' you need to be wary of.

You're probably right if you want a piece of cheap sh i te like the Shotley website and don't want to listen to experienced advice

(I wound down the web design side of my business precisely because too many clients assumed it could be done for £50 and wanted knobs, bells and whistles rather than simple effective functionality)
