Compass do a breathable for about £160 - special offers at the moment up to end Feb. There is a company that does womens sizes/shapes but forget the name, not bright coloured, only in grey. But almost certainly they will all be too long in the leg(SHMBO has the same problem). Jackets are OK, its the trousers... - maybe find truosers that fit and a seperate jacket?

I'd rather be sailing... :-) /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Good news. Gill's Atlantic trousers fit my similarly proportioned wife perfectly - she loves em.

Bad news. They're £150.

Same problems here. And it's not only short women, as many oilies are baggie in the wrong places, letting water in, and then too tight in others, making movement more difficult.

It's not even just oiies - got the compass catalogue the other day and found lots of v nice ooking skippers trousers - all for men!

Manufacturers and retailers take note!

My wife is 5'3. We both bought the same new gear at Southampton Boat Show - Gill Key West (we're not offshore types) - and they fit both of us very well. She bought Small, jacket and trousers, £170 all in (mine in Large were the same price).

Best deal of the show imho.

Very pleased, have always liked Gill stuff right from dinghy days.

Thanks everyone for this . . .

Gill make Key West in womens' sizes now, so this looks like being the one to go for - £120 for the trousers, £150 for the suit - so a little over the planned budget but I guess my crew is worth it!

Anyone know which mail order outfit who does Gill would be quite happy to change if the initial size ordered was wrong?
