My mate Sasha - whos agreed to look after refurb of Superanne after all the repairs to her ... we decided to give the 'old gal' an hour on the river ... what a beautiful way to spend an hour. Just ghosting along under the genny ... 2kts in barely a breeze ... cold but nice.

Next will be mast down - probably next week - and off the boat for general maintenance ... boat motored round to crane lift point and then trucked back to house to stand next to workshop ...

There are two types of sailors, those who require luxury, and those who see it as adventure and posh camping. In my 30 plus years of boating/sailing/yachting I don't suppose i have spent more than 30 days safe in a marina but over a thousand days with my sons anchored somewhere fun, swimming, digging worms, catching crabs or turning over rocks just for the fun of it. I have always run my own business and worked harder in the winter so I could take the six weeks school summer holidays off.
