Are there any good alternatives to the MeterMaid 230V shore power meter lead? Finding stock is one challenge, but I wonder whether there are better value options too …?

The question is more whether Marina will accept the meter .......

I know when I was moored in Marina in UK - they only had one meter lead accepted by Berth Contract ... didn't matter is user owned or rented from Marina.

Good point! Had my old MeterMaid for years and now it’s packed up. There look to be a few different types/makes where I am, but I’ll check with the marina office tomorrow.

Thanks Alex - can you recommend them? They measure kWh like the MeterMaid and are quite a bit cheaper. I see that the Tough Leads are IP65 rather than IP67, although for my normal use (dry stack) either would be fine.
Their stuff is very good. However, You have to get in touch with them first ! Give them a try if you can get hold of them it will be worth it. Can you let us know? The meters are more versatile than MeterMaid. and they use cable that is suitable for marina's. (Don't get started on that minefield). They will also make cables to order with the meter anywhere in the length.

I’ve ordered their 10m metered cable for £114. I didn’t contact them first as I don’t need a bespoke cable length, but their website makes them sound really flexible. It’s £100 cheaper than the MeterMaid equivalent …. let’s see how it performs.

Have sent a PM. Let us know if you are happy with it
