Maybe I going to need to ship 4 batteries to Sicily anyone with any ideas on the cheaper way of doing this , batteries company want £177 .
Thanks
Thanks
€100 per battery eachCan't you buy them in Sicily?
I can but at nearly €100 per battery each
£400 cheaperThat doesn't sound very expensive, how much can you get them for in the UK?
£400 cheaper
It may be good but I looking for betterThat sounds pretty reasonable, class 9 hazardous goods. 4 batteries, i guess around 80 Kgs total?
i would say thats pretty good to be honest.
The only reason I want to ship them from the UK is because they much cheaper then any where else I can find in Europe, £150 against €220 in Italy I think the cheapest I seen €200 plus carriages that's a 200 € saving , but if I have to pay £177 to have them shipped out then there no point .Shipping anything from the UK seems dear, have you looked at shipping from France or Germany?
@ yngmar , we probably be in the marina in about a month , if you know where I can get them in Germany at the same price as the UK I be interested .
See you then .
Looked at eBay it and the rest of eu sites .If you tell me which batteries you need, I'll have a look.
Also worth checking eBay.it - just search and sort by price incl. shipping, like so: batteria 12v 130ah in vendita | eBay
UK prices are currently lower in comparison because they haven't been adjusted for the further crash of the pound yet, but that doesn't help you with difficult to ship stuff like batteries. Good time for a last round of UK boat parts and favourite supplies this autumn though, before they become difficult to get out here.
I check the first one out later see what they want for carriage.Well, if you're offering drinks! ?
How many batteries? 4, 6, 8? Assuming at least four.
Let's see then:
€170 each in a bundle of four, plus €13 shipping to Sicilian postcode: 4x Trojan T 105, 681,38 €
€167 each, minimum order two. Must arrange your own collection: Trojan T-105 deep cycle Batterie 6 Volt 225 Ah Pol-EUT
Don't know either of those companies myself, but both have a proper Impressum and there's no reason to doubt them. Would confirm the shipping costs by email though, seems too good to be true, might be the webshop doesn't realize how much batteries weigh
Beware, there may be some faff about you having to pay a deposit of €7.50 per battery which you get refunded once you confirm that you have returned your old batteries for recycling. German law - not sure how this works for exported batteries.
In Italy I can't find them for much under €200. No great deals in ES/FR/PT/GR either.
Would rethink buying Trojans again though, given your rubbish experience with the current batch. You can get that sort of lifespan out of much cheaper batteries. Or get a set of AGMs for the same money.
