Shipping 30 footer back from Greece

Moody 31, Vounaki Marina - Have a couple of By Road quotes but at around £7.5k makes the whole project unviable.

Ex-Neilson? I might have sailed it.. :D
Good luck, they've had a lot of use. The interiors are often in surprisingly good nick as people rarely use them other than for the beds.

Hello NickC - see you caused quite a tail-back with your question. We are in the same position with our Nic 38 yacht Voltair - currently in Preveza but would be better back in UK on the hard somewhere for sale (as we have now campaigned her extensively around western and northern europe and are too geriatric to bring her back around Portugal). So I am looking at the Rhein-Main-Donau canal also, as a splendid final voyage to get her home. Who says you have to do it in spate? I was thinking of a gentle cruise from September onwards after a long dry summer. We draw about 1.8m downwards and maybe 2.8m upwards with the masts down, so dimensionally it ought to fit. So long as the stream in the Danube isn't more than 3knots we ought to be able to cope..... so what else is agin it? When you thinking of going? We were thinking of 2017 after a tour of the Adriatic this year. Website at www.voltair.org.uk if anyone is interested..... perhaps in buying in situ in Preveza!

we sailed from leros greece to izola in sloviana trucked the boat to Amsterdam on a back load he was going to come back empty 2000 erou cash then saied to England north east cost 50 hrs all worked ok .

Well, we are planning to call in at the armpit of the Adriatic, so could try something similar. But I guess it would have been double or more if you had not caught a back-load. Still interested in the scenic route via the R-M-D canal if anyone knows a publication or book from someone who's done it.
