Hi, just to let you know how we are getting on. We left Falmouth at the end of last Aug.
We have both settled into liveaboard life very easily and are now in Cartagena, Spain. On the whole the weather has been wonderful and very dry. We stayed in San Jose near Almeria for 3 months and have explored the area thoroughly. Our Hillyard has been very comfortable and we installed a Bengo charcoal heater which throws off considerable heat. We have one solar panel and a wind gen. and do not use shore power. We use a lap top for writing long e-mails then load onto floppies which we take to internet cafes,(much cheaper than mobile phones and blue tooth etc).
Thanks to everyone who gave us information before we left and if we can help anybody, please don't hesitate to email.
We are waiting for a weather window then we will be on our way to the Balearics then heading off to Greece, Turkey etc.
I would recommend taking as many books as you can fit in, a pressure cooker and definately learning more Spanish!!!!!!
