Shaft protection

yep, although in my previous post, I meant isolating the tapered/keyed shaft to prop interface (to break the circuit as you say), allowing me to dispense with the shaft anode altogether. its the only anode I have now that requires replacing. One more maintenace task permanently removed from the list would be the objective!

If it was desirable and possible somebody would have done it by now! After all the "problem" (which is not really a big problem) has been there for years! The incentive for a saildrive is rather different as the rubber bush is required to reduce shock loadings on the gear train as well as the benefit of isolating the prop.
