I heard a big bang and thought I damaged my gearbox but on further investigation it looks like its the coupling between the ZF 220A 1 and the shaft which is stainless steel 1 3/4 inch thick has given up.

should i fix or replace with a new coupling (less vibration?),

can anyone recommend a trade that can do that in Kent?

Difficult to advise without seeing pictures and understanding what/how failed

Tom, were you underway and hit something ? and that hex grub screw seems to be sticking out to much.
Is there another one underneath out of sight.
Have the grub screws come loose and the shaft merely rotated in the coupling ?
Andy at this company might be worth a phone call.
Have certainly provided me with some very economic ways of fixing stuff .
