Severn Barrage

What are your views on the Severn Barrage. How do you think they will effect you in the Bristol Channel.

Would be great for me as we live on the banks of the severn overlooking wales between the 2 severn bridges
Would the barrage if built reduce the massive tidal flow and create more of a lake effect like the one at cardiff has done

Who cares what they build, it will just be another white elephant! Do you think the government gives a stuff what the RYA thinks?? You must be joking!

I think the idea is more to do with harnessing the tide for hydro elec generation than making a large boating lake ....... it will go a big way to meeting the 'renewables' the gov have comitted us to
