Mercedes OM636
Leaking diesel from return nipple and looks corroded/cracked.
Local diesel guy said better get new injectors.
OM636 guy said um very difficult/expensive and is looking for second hand parts for me, (very helpful guy and would highly recommend).
Found new injectors in Germany 170 euros each and Monarch copies (not the ones in the auction, unfortunately), http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221114819682?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
So I am thinking about buying some of these nozzles: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/28104899...WNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_500wt_716
and have found these instructions: http://vincewaldon.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=20&Itemid=28
So can anyone offer opinion on whether injector nozzles can be changed at home, or will they all end up leaking because I can not work cleanly enough., I appreciate they might not be set up as original but surely better than the injectors as they are now? I know an engineer who has a pop tester so can see the spray pattern and collect some fuel to see if they are delivering similar amounts?
Anybody got any om636 injectors hidden away that they do not need?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts/opinion.
