Just seen a gust of 60 knots here in Fambridge and the fetch is sort of overland, I shudder to think of more exposed places
Twas a pretty disturbed night on board

Wot about the BBQ :disgust:
How often is it said that wind turbines are turned off when it gets too windy? From my house I can see the wind turbines at Bradwell, the bottom of the crouch and Clacton, and they are all turning
Clockwise or counter clockwise? They only generate electricity when they rotate clockwise but they can't hold the blades fixed in gusts above 50knots otherwise the turbine would be blown over, so they allow them to rotate counter clockwise to dissipate the wind energy without overloading the grid with surplus power - clever people these engineer johnnies.

BOOGER!
That removes one of my arguments against the wretched things.
Seriously low water in Fambridge Marina this morning. could actually see the mud around the boat on the next berth. Never seen that before
NEGATIVE TIDAL SURGE WARNING. THAMES ESTUARY.
1. TIDES ARE EXPECTED TO BE APPRECIABLY BELOW PREDICTION AT SHEERNESS, BETWEEN 0900 AND 1400 UTC 28 MAR.
I have never heard of that before. The Bradwell ones are going clockwise, the others are to far away to see which way they are going
Any chance of nipping along to berth 20 and getting a pic of my countess , sitting in the mud lol please

Sorry to hear that :disgust:Several boats been blown over at Suffolk Yacht Harbour
Wouldn't it depend on which side you are looking at them?
From Burnham they would appear to be going clockwise, from Mersea, anti- clockwise.
I would, but the tide is now flooding a'pace- did you light the barbeque -lol
