Hey,

Planning to cruise the south coast and down to the med through the Bay of Biscay in a couple of months.
On a tight budget and wondering where I might be able to get hold of some cheap charts.
Thanks very much,

PW

I have some very old ( and I do mean old - 1960's ) stanford charts, no 12 Needles to Start point and 13 Start point to Lands end.
You are most welcome to them. They will obviously require corrections for not only bouys, wrecks etc. but also compass variation ( some 3deg W ) or you can use them for passage planing, as long as you have a macmillan reeds for the ports.

let me know

Where are coming from?

I have Imray, uptodate almost, and German/Franch/BA to the Portugal coast: if I can be of assistance, respond accordingly to cruising@mpcee.co.uk

did the same thing last year (only got as far as spain) and managed quite happily on second hand charts. however, up to date pilot books were worth the expense, simply to get the best out of the experience. facilities are changing so fast along the route, that old pilots are not partic helpful.

Yes they are ,I used em a while back .
The prices start at £2.50 for an out of date chart
He even surgested waiting a week untill one of the charts I wanted went out of date so it would then be cheaper
