Re: Yeah....it worked..............

Have you tried contacting sunseeker, they have offices all over the place, I saw one in puerto portals as well as Ibiza town, palma, estepona and sotogrande etc. might be the way to go they seem to have sales offices everywhere. Some very nice boats for sale secondhand in puerto portals. Is that more like it? Just ask.

Re: Anyway, back to choosing a boat for Sunseeker...

Thanks for the info.... however if I may digress....
would you happen to know what the costs of mooring a 40-45 boat in a Marina in or around (no more than 10 miles) Calpe may be.... or even any websites where I may be able to seek out a SunSeeker....

I came in search of a SunSeeker and all I got was this lousy signature.....

Re: argh sunseeker sales

yeah but that the reason he asked innit. Flamin sunseeker sales want to sell secondhand boats for the same as the flipin retail inc vat for a 1 yr old boat "but it does have a lot of extras sir".

Re: argh sunseeker sales

But it's a start innit? Doesn't this site have a boats for sale bit, what about boats and trains and aeroplanes for sale magazine thingy, or was that a song?

No I'm not new to the board 'been around for ages' but interested why you ask. Is it because I (in some way) answered the question which does happen from time to time or is it that I haven't got one of those confusing signatures.
welcome anyway
David

You got it the second time round.... I wondered why you did not have a stupid signature like mine......

I came in search of a SunSeeker and all I got was this lousy signature.....

Re: mooring in coast blanca

ooer. It's about £4,600 quid per year for a 44footer, but getting a mooring is dead diificult says my mate with a 44 foot boat in denia, near Calpe. In fact, it's so difficult, that he had to buy a lease for a hundred grand or thereabouts. It turns out that he hardly gets much use of the boat so he plans to bring it back the UK and renting it out.

So there you are, it'd be £4,600.

Best way (apart froom dealers) to buy a boat is to print up some pieces of paper and leavem n the boats with a contact number...cos almost every single boat is sort-of for sale, really, innit?

Re: a start

yes yes, it's certainly a start going to the dealers. Boats an planes tends to be a bit chesterfield boat fieldish.

Actually, for sunseekers i bet a good start would be to leaflet relevant boats with a mobile phone number. A bad start wd be to join a boaty bb and start slagging people off....

Hope for you yet...............

..............especially if you've decided your signature is stoopid so soon after starting to use it!
Sorry I cant help with where to buy second hand (sorry, pre-owned) Sunseekers - way beyond my price range I'm afraid but if I win the lottery tonite I might take a little more interest. My boats tend to cost more around the sort of money tcm spends on filling his tank and marky tuckwell drops overboard/flood damages in an average season! Mind you, I did sell my last boat for around 30% more than I paid for it which I still feel was some sort of unique achievement.
When you do get a boat I'll let you put piccies on my boaters gallery...............

Re: 30% more than he paid for it

Ah. But we know that the wifey pays for your boat SO maybe it was 30% more than you paid but if say she paid 50% originally then that's er 35% depreciation on the overal boat.

Nonetheless, agreed a massive achievement in either achieveing 30% appreciation or indeed keeping all the loot when sold and getting her to buy another one.

Ooh....slander and tittle tattle......

'Wifey' doesnt pay for my boat but did buy me present one for burfday last year. Previous boat was sold for 30% more than buying price ! Dont think we'll explore wot happened to the loot too closely tho...............but that is a nice wheel etc etc ......
Now then, about these filling up costs and eco summits/sustainable reserves etc..........

Re: a start

Tee hee! I like your idea of the leaflet thing, as you say most boats are for sale, at a price.

Re: Ooh....slander and tittle tattle......

Don't worry about sustainable oil reserves, just brought another 10k barrel a day well online! Why don't we get concession deisel like the miners used to get concession coal, I bet I'd have lots of friends then!

You've not had a bad responce for your first day Mr Sunseeker. Most folk just go away and dont come back!
You have to get used to the humour or lack of it. But also the spelling, which is optional!
You must try Ancasta in your search. They have loads of boats all over the place. Take others advice on moorings before buying though. There like rocking horse shit.

No one can force me to come here-----------

Re: er steady on sunseeker?...

Yesh bring it on
i'll take you all

*sways drunkenly and falls over*

You sail on the white bits, anchor on the blue bits, get drunk on the yellow bits

but what boat?

OK so you want a sunseeker (good call if I do say so myself) but I guess you know which model pretty much. You've no doubt got a pretty good idea what you want to spend (add 50% because you'll always blow the budget on that one that's just that bit more but so much nicer....) and you know what size, so which model are you after?

It's not as if there is a shortage of most models for sale in any mag like mby, so what do you want from a new source, better prices maybe? It's probably easier to go to a mainstream source and just haggle harder!
