I want to re-install my Raystar 125 antenna to work with my Raymarine C80 chartplotter. Unfortunately the cable from the Raystar 125 doesn’t have the moulded plug on it. I can’t remember what type of moulded plug it was and I’m an electronics nincompoop.

I don’t need any networking with other instruments.

Can I just use one of those ubiquitous 3 hole slightly curved shaped Seatalk plugs to connect the RS125 antenna to the appropriate Seatalk socket on the back,of the display unit? What other method could I use to connect the antenna to the display? Does anyone have the correct plug with a short bit of cable on it which I can join to the existing full length cable?

The Raystar 125 cable only has a plug at the Raystar end, the other end is bare wires.
To connect to a C Series plotter, you would need a R08050 pigtail which has the molded plug one end, and bare wires at the other end.

This might do
Pardon our interruption...

You are aware that the Raystart 125 will not provide correct date and time.

See the, manual

As mentioned The raystar 125 didn't survive a GPS rollover a year or so ago. It will still give an accurate position but the date will be incorrect so tide and current information will be wrong. The date can be manually altered in the tide/current page.
