For reasons of integration, I would like to input GPS info via SeaTalk to my E80 plotter(s).
It doesn't work.
If I configure the GPS to provide position via NMEA (at 4800 baud), it does work.
Using a 'scope, I can see data outputting from the GPS (Raystar 125) receiver as SeaTalk and, disconnecting all other SeaTalk inputs, I can see data being received on the diagnostic screen. If I switch off the receiver, that data stream ceases.
However, the GPS display is blank.
Any ideas please?
